Yggdrasil has published the ninth contribution from Reflex Gaming to its successful YG Masters program, having debuted the GATI-powered video slot, Dublin Up DoubleMAX, which is the UK-based manufacturer and game developer’s first title to incorporate the trademarked game engagement mechanic (GEM).
This highly volatile Emerald Isle-inspired video slot is played on a 5-reel, 3-row grid with 25 paylines, and is set in an enchanted forest that is home to Scarlett O’ Sparklewish, a fairy that can be found flitting around at the left of the reels. She is responsible for the Faery Magic feature, which is activated randomly when she casts a spell, eliminating symbols on the reels and making way for new ones to drop down.

Positioned next to our Scarlett, the game’s multiplier hangs by rope from the bough of a tree. Starting at 1x, the multiplier doubles every time a player lands a win. Game Symbols & Features:
Symbols include lower-paying J, Q, K and A card suits and landing five-of-a-kind on adjacent reels from left to right is worth 1x-1.2x the bet. Increasing in value, a golden horseshoe, a green hat, a pot of gold, and the Dublin Up logo are the higher pays and landing five-of-a-kind the same way pays between 2x and 5x the bet.
A lucky four leaf clover represents the one Wild in the game. It substitutes for all regular paying symbols but not the Scatter symbol. Landing three scatters anywhere on the reels activates the free spins and players are awarded at least seven spins.
First introduced in August 2021, via Yggdrasil’s own Raptor, the DoubleMax mechanic creates cascades of wins, and a multiplier that doubles with every drop. So, after each successful spin, winning symbols are removed from the gameboard and a minimum of one extra wild is added, and in the base game the multiplier doubles.
This process repeats itself without limit until wins are exhausted, creating the potential for some pretty nice wins as the multiplier increases. When a losing spin occurs, the count is reset.
Bonus Buy, Gamble & Lucky Bet:
Depending on the region, players who’d rather not wait to enter the bonus naturally can choose to buy their way in via the Bonus Buy button and 100X the bet. This awards players seven spins and they are able to gamble to achieve more wins the same as if the bonus was activated naturally.
However, choosing the Gamble option is risky and an all-or-nothing scenario. Landing at green awards three extra spins, while red loses all spins.
The Lucky Bet option can be triggered by players in base gameplay. Choosing this feature doubles the chances of landing the free spins bonus by increasing the bet by 25 percent. It does not affect wins.
